New product names. Same delicious stone-baked pizzas.
In the 14 years since we launched our first Ooni oven, our range has grown – with each year bringing new milestones in product materials, airflow technology, fuel efficiency, sustainability, user experience and connectivity.
To help everyone easily understand the differences across our diverse oven range, we’re making changes to the names of our products.
What’s Changing?
A simplified naming structure better reflects our ovens' features and generations.
Old Name → New Name
- Ooni Karu 12G Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven → Ooni Karu 2
How does it work?
Our oven names used to indicate the size of pizza they could cook (for example, Koda 12 for a 12” pizza). The new names include:
- A number (for example Karu 2) indicating the generation of that oven.
- A qualifier (for example, words like Pro or Max) to let you know the size and technology level. Base models won’t have a qualifier, but more advanced models will.
Will this affect accessories?
Yup. We’re also updating accessory names to make it easier to match them with the correct oven.
Old Name → New Name
- Karu 12G Gas Burner → Gas Burner for Ooni Karu 12, Karu 12G, and Karu 2
- Karu 12 Cover → Carry Cover for Ooni Karu 12, Karu 12G, and Karu 2
