Thank you for taking part in Ooni Day 2020
Ooni Day is our annual celebration of the joy of great pizza made at home. This year we couldn't have the usual busy pizza parties but the Ooni community rose to the challenge of sharing a slice of happiness with neighbors, front-line workers and vulnerable people everywhere.
Neighbourly pizza
This year we promised our community that for every pizza they made for their neighbours on Ooni Day (9th May), we'd donate $1 to hunger relief charities. The final tally was a whopping 1573 pizzas. That's not just $1573 which will be donated to hunger-fighting charities, but 1573 smiles from neighbours who were fed delicious pizza!
Thank you all so much.
Charity donations
Our Ooni Day GoFundMe page was also a success and happy pizza recipients said THANK YOU by paying it forward and donating! We received $3610 in donations, which added to our $1573 matched donation, makes a total donation of $5183 to be divided between our four chosen charities:
- Feeding America (USA) - Food Banks Canada/Banques Alimentaires Canada (Canada) - The Trussell Trust (United Kingdom) - European Food Banks Federation (EU)
Photo competition
As is now tradition, we also ran our "Best Photos of Ooni Day" competition, there were so many beauties to choose from and these were the amazing winners:
@bun_club
Best picture of a pizza for this gorgeously leoparded pie and bonus points for having fed 30 neighbors! @bun_club will get a $500 gift card to spend on the ooni.com website.

THANK YOU
Thank you so very much for taking part this year. We were so humbled and thrilled to see that the #ooniday hashtag was used by thousands of you on Ooni Day this year. That, plus your neighbourly pizzas and charitable donations, have made this Ooni Day a complete success!
Can't wait to see what Ooni Day holds for next year 🥳
